Description

The Junmai designation indicates that no alcohol has been added to the sake, and Nigori means that it is naturally cloudy and should be shaken gently before opening. This Junmai Nigori is smooth and silky with a delicate, balanced sweetness. Serve warmed.

Tasting Notes

A blend of Gohyakumangoku and the Fukui native varietal Hanaetizen, polished to 60%, beyond standard Junmai level of 70%. Distinct for this style for being best served warm, around 45°C range. It was awarded 'Grand Gold Quality' in a 2013 warmed sake competition. Nice and mellow sweetness on the palate with a very smooth milky taste. Sweet yet elegant flavour profile.
